About Us
History and Background
We are a small workshop located in rural southern Georgia. We focus on building quality furniture and home decor products that will stand the test of time.
The joy of working with wood began as a child with just a handsaw, and old hammer, and a box of nails. That enjoyment of process continued through college as building the necessities and small projects for others became a weekend adventure. A few simple hand tools later, a bed, a kitchen table, and some chairs came to life. Over twenty years later, that bed is still in use.
The Day to Day
We build most of our furniture from solid wood, responsibly sourced local lumber or reclaimed wood with life for a new purpose. Project, purpose and budget are usually the determining factors around sourced materials. Some of our materials come from century old barns and houses, other wood may be sourced from local milling operations.
Our design and building process involves using the most appropriate techniques and materials for the project at hand. We love what we do and the process of turning a pile of raw materials into something functional and visually appealing.
